The South East’s largest agricultural and machinery show, Farm Expo, returned for its fifth year at Kent Showground in Maidstone, on 6th March 2024. The event, which showcases the best of farm machinery, goods, and services from national and international suppliers, enjoyed increased trade stands, ticket registrations and even a rare break in the rain!

Launched in 2019, Farm Expo aims to connect merchants and buyers, providing a convenient opportunity for visitors to shop all their farming needs. With over 100 exhibitors in attendance, bringing the latest in innovative equipment and technology from all sectors of farming, land management and related business, this is a prime opportunity to try before you buy and discover the latest releases from all your favourite brands. See live demonstrations, view equipment and machinery up-close, and network with industry-leading professionals.

NEW for 2024, the Demo Zone provided exhibitors the chance to show off their newest kit, offer test drives and demonstrate new features to a highly engaged audience. Bringing an interactive element to the day, Crawfords Group showed off their new Manitou telehandlers and Skid-Steer Loaders in the first session of the morning, whilst the second session of the day saw Crawfords Automotive offering visitors the chance to test drive their brand-new Isuzu D-Max pick-up truck!

Now a firm fixture in the annual calendar of events for organisers, the Kent County Agricultural Society, Farm Expo brings together farmers, farm workers, land managers, students and agri-businesses from all corners of the agricultural industry.

Julian Barnes, Chairman of the Kent County Agricultural Society said; “In today’s ever-changing world, farmers are constantly having to evolve, diversify and innovate to keep their businesses going. Challenges such as the current economic backdrop, finding a balance to sustainable food production and bureaucratic red tape, as well as the age-old struggle of working with the weather, are impacting on all areas of the agricultural industry.

“In the face of these challenges, Farm Expo is an opportunity for the South East’s farming community to network, explore new opportunities and create vital business links. It has been fantastic to walk around the event and feel the buzz in the atmosphere as people from across the area’s agricultural sectors and agribusinesses connect.”

Farm Expo is set to return to the Kent Showground on Wednesday 5th March 2025. Visit the Farm Expo website to learn more about the event: www.kcas.org.uk/farm-expo/
