This is an exciting opportunity to join the Kent County Agricultural Society to assist in the marketing and promotion of the Society and its events. As the Society’s schedule grows, this is a new role working alongside the Marketing Coordinator.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Marketing Assistant
Reporting To: Marketing Coordinator/General Manager
Working Hours: 22.5 hours
Occasional evening and weekend work will be required
Basis: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £12,285
Location: Kent Showground, Maidstone and / or flexible working
Responsibilities:
– To assist the Marketing Coordinator in organising the company’s marketing and PR activities
– Take ownership of the marketing activities for Biddenden Tractorfest
– Assist in the management of the organisation’s website and written content
– Proactively create blog articles and written copy for all appropriate media
– Work across the organisation’s events team
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Marketing Coordinator/ General Manager from time to time.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential skills and experience:
– Excellent level of written English
– Creative flair
– Strong social media management expertise across all platforms, scheduling programmes and analytics
– Proven communication skills
– Good administration skills
– Ability to work as part of a small events team
– Excellent planning and organisational skills
– Good time management
Desirable skills and experience:
– Some ack-end website knowledge (e.g. WordPress), analytics, SEO and content writing
– Experience using a CMS (Content Management System)
– Some experience using programmes such as Canva & Mailchimp
– Ability to represent the organisation at events and exhibitions
